Day 29

Sunday
Benchmark Day

Today went well. I'll hopefully have a video up by Tuesday morning.

I'm going to add a little more stretching and jumping jacks to my routine, and re-introduce the jog/sprint drill.

I weighed 195 today, the lowest yet! I think I finally got all the peanut butter and matzah from Passover out of my system.

JL - about your knees, do you know about i.t. bands? I didn't until I ran a marathon. Apparently there are tendons that run along the side of your knees that get much less flexible w/ age. As you run these tendons move back and forth over bones in your knee and get irritated and inflamed. The more inflamed they get the more they rub... so on and so on. The end result is some ouchie fucking knees. I saw a physical therapist who put me on a few days rest, mega-doses of ibu. and then gave me some stretches to loosen them up before running. Four years later and no problems. I can talk you through the streches if you want.

hugs

Same EXACT thing happened to me in NYC marathon - it's all about stretching (which apparently men tend not to do very much). Stop being so macho and stretch, man.
