hey, i have been following your blog for quite sometime now and some things that i have noticed is that your overtraining big time. you need to take a week off for your body to heal. then stick with explosive training. just plain jumping will increase your vert alot. Also from my experience people are either one foot jumpers or two foot jumpers. one foot jumpers are the skinny more flexible people. and the two foot jumpers are the stronger legged and less flexible. i would say that you are a two foot jumper and should stick with it. im a two foot jumper and can dunk at 5'8", off one leg i can barley touch the rim.
I am much younger (and was even younger when I jumped to grab the rim for the first time) than you, but what I noticed is that MOST important thing ain't jump. You're 6'2 , it is enough. What you need the most is technique. Many people advice to watch Vince Carter for example and i think it is a great example. Observe the way he jumps, every move, how does he rise his arm, etc. It helps, at my early beggining i didn't work out my lower body, I just tried to jump exactly the way VC's does. In home, without the ball at first. Before i touched the rim ocasionally , after a week i think i managed to grab it. Dpready is right, stick to one way of jumping. One-leg, double pump, you have to choose. Another important thing is grabbing the ball. You have to be sure u can keep it as high as possible without dropping it.
